A key point for the Uruguayan beef is Traceability.
The main strength of the system is to offer guarantees as to cattle health controls and meat safety. It also allows the country to ensure the chain of custody, meaning it is possible to know about changes in ownership of livestock and beef all along the supply chain (production, transport, processing, storage, and trade, etc.). This final product is accompanied by all the information allowing it to tell its own history, from nature to consumer.
Uruguay has a long culture and tradition as beef and lamb producer and exporter. For centuries, rural producers in Uruguay have been applying careful and respectful practices in cattle-raising, in a sustainable and environmental-friendly manner. Thus, Uruguay has become a world reference in regard to animal welfare. Uruguayan meats are very tasty, but they are also the healthiest and safest to eat.
The taste of meat from livestock raised grazing natural pastures freely in the open air is unique. Besides, such practice has other advantages: a leaner beef, with lower cholesterol, higher contents of Vitamin C (antioxidants) and four times more Omega-3 than beef from livestock raised the conventional way.
Please ask us how you can be a part of our show down here, and if you want us to feed your cows in Uruguay some occasional beer to fatten them up beyond them having amazingly nourishing and clean grasses here, it might be a little more costly, but we will listen to you. Thank you.
